Projects and boards¶
For an engagement — a migration, an implementation — the Projects tab holds the board: every work package, its status, and the conversation on each. The board is the plan of record: what you see there is the plan, not a copy of one kept somewhere else.
The board¶
Work packages move through columns as work progresses — from preparation, through review, to Ready for acceptance and acceptance by your team. Each item shows its workstream and its owner: your organisation, bydynamics, or joint.
Items¶
Open an item to read its full description and its conversation. Comment there the way you would on an issue — questions, findings and decisions stay attached to the work they concern. Items can carry tasks assigned to people by name, yours and ours.
Read and write¶
Your role on a project is set per project by your administrator:
- Projects: Read — follow everything: the board, items, conversations.
- Projects: Write — additionally comment on items and update what's assigned to you.
Ask your administrator (People tab) if you need write access to a board you can only read.
Projects and issues are separate
An issue is a report; a project item is planned work. The team links them when one becomes the other — you never need to file anything twice.
