For partners¶
An implementation partner (VAR) often does the first-line troubleshooting for a customer. With a delegation agreed with that customer, your organisation can read the customer's issues from your own Portal sign-in — no borrowed accounts, no forwarding screenshots over e-mail.
What delegated access shows¶
- The customer's issues — read-only: the reports, the threads, the attachments, exactly as the customer sees them.
What it never shows¶
- The customer's projects, documents, channels or people — delegation covers issues, nothing else.
- Anything the customer cannot see themselves.
What it never allows¶
- Filing issues as the customer — reports on their behalf go through the bydynamics team.
- Passing access on: a delegation is between exactly one partner and one customer, agreed with the customer, and visible to them.
Every delegated read is recorded, and the customer can ask for the delegation to be removed at any time.
Getting a delegation¶
Talk to your bydynamics contact. Delegations are set up by bydynamics after the customer agrees — deliberately not self-service, because it is the one grant in the Portal that lets one organisation read another's data.
